The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has given the green light to three settlements from the Office of Enforcement Counsel concerning online gaming fines totaling $60,000. In two of the cases, there were violations of self-exclusion requests.

Pennsylvania Fines 3 Casino Operators for Breaching the Law

The regulator imposed a $45,000 penalty on Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, which operates Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. The Board accused the operator of allowing five people enrolled in the Board's self-exclusion program to gamble on its Barstool Sportsbook website. The Board underscored that interactive gaming companies must deny wagering from anyone on the list.

Another operator that faces the wrath of the Board is Mohegan Pennsylvania casino operator, Downs Racing, and its iGaming associate, Unibet Interactive. Both would pay a $7,500 penalty for not blocking a gambling account that had asked for a 90-day "cool off" duration. The regulator says the request was disregarded, and the account saw "substantial" activity for 21 days.

Surprisingly, Evolution Gaming, a leading supplier of live content at the best online casinos worldwide, was also on the list. The regulator handed Evolution US a penalty of $7,500 for having an unlicensed staff member operate multiple blackjack tables in their live dealer interactive gaming studio.

Action Against Careless Adults

In other related news, the regulatory Board recently addressed petitions submitted by OEC to bar two adults from casinos in the Commonwealth due to leaving children unaccompanied. In particular, a man was put on the Involuntary Exclusion List for leaving a 12-year-old person in a car running in the Presque Isle Downs & Casino parking lot while gambling in a sportsbook.

In addition, a female was accused of having a 14-month-old in a vehicle running in the Valley Forge Casino and Resort parking lot while she gambled in the sportsbook. The Board declared that this serves as a reminder that adults should not leave minors alone in the parking lot, garage, hotel, or other casino areas.
